In the United States, all but one state, Nebraska, requires that a couple be 18 in order to marry without parental permission. Although a few states will waive this requirement if there is a pregnancy, teenage couples may still have to have court approval. A few states allow pregnant teens or teens who have already had a child to get married without parental consent but these couples must have permission from a court. Even with parental approval, many states require court approval when a person is 16 years old or less.
In Taiwan, legal age to get married for men is 18, and women is 16.The underage need parents’ approval.

In the clip, we can see the 15-year-old Kaitlin and 18-year-old Ryan want to get married spontaneously. They don’t have a baby or be forced to do that, they just think they meet their Mr. and Mrs. Right and are mature enough to make the decision. However, I doubt if they are really mature. We can see their innocence or maybe to say childishness while talking to the anchorwoman. Many words sound ridiculous. It seems that they don’t know the seriousness of taking fertility drugs, and have no any opinion of money. All they know is: Oh, I love you so much that how can I live without you.
However, life is not as easy as we see. When one is young, he/she always takes things too simple and perfect, not even mention when it comes to love. Teenagers who tend to be impulsive and arrogant are often overwhelmed by love. They are reluctant to hear others’ advice and make many decisions without thinking twice. As they age and their strong love fade, reality’s true colors take place. Every single trivia that never is a thing when they were deep in love may be a trouble to them now. They may suffer a lot from problems in all directions like financial affairs, deterioration of feelings to their companions, and if they have babies, education would be a big deal, too.
If teen couples decide to complete a home with total consideration and they are sure they have the ability to face all consequences after marriage by themselves, of course it is okay to marry at such young age. Because girls always have a fantasy of falling in love with her prince charming and live happily ever after. However, I still think the majority of young husbands and wives are not qualified enough.

Issue Paper 2nd Draft
“Teen marriage” the term which has existed for hundreds of years is being paid close attention recently since more and more teenagers get married. Unlike our last generation whose condition is different from nowadays, we grow up in a rapid-changing and relative wealthy environment and we don’t necessarily need to complete a home, giving birth to babies at a young age to help support the family. So the situation is totally different. Regardless of those who are forced to get marry, there are still a lot people do that because pregnancy and voluntariness.
The youth are confronted with a predicament. They think they are mature enough to deal with everything. There is no problem that they cannot solve. The magic of hormone takes over rationality when a charming opposite sex shows up. Then, these young couples think they meet the right one at the right time, and they are madly in love with each other. Nothing and no one can throw obstacles in their way. Once they think the “feelings” are good, they just make the crucial decision in their lives at that very moment, blinding to obstacle they may run into the near future since love is so strong and omnipotent. Ironically, many men and women at the proper age to build a family always hesitate to marry. The reason is simple. There is too much responsibility needed to be shouldered after getting married. The two groups of people have very opposite attitude toward marriage. It is obvious that the latter have more life experience and know how cruel reality is; however teenagers always take things too easily.
Besides the adolescents’ natural instinct, environment plays an important role that influences their thoughts a lot. The prevalence of mass media and the internet intensify their arrogance. Much misconception is conveyed by celebrities. Teenagers who are still too young to judge a thing if it is right or wrong want to imitate their idols, no matter how silly the behavior it is. In some degree, some boys and girls are affected by them, thinking how romantic and wonderful it is to get married. But who knows if under the famous happy couples’ wonderful marriage hides some difficulty. Young lovers tend to see the good side of a thing and always ignore the bad. When they are really in trouble, they try to convince themselves to believing in love first. Unfortunately, the result often doom to divorce.
Marriage is not as simple as we see it. There are many difficulties teen couples will need to face, such as financial affair and children’s education etc. Although still a lot of happy and successful little husbands and wives, we cannot deny the hard situation they may encounter.
Note: 1. the background of young couples
2. the problem in their marriage
3.their motive of marriage

I find a survey when i look for resource for my own paper. I think maybe it can help you to know how those adopted children will be treated by others. Teenagers are very sensitive and care about others' opinion. If their friends don't agree with homosexual parents, they may be influenced by them and thus feel ashamed to be adopted by homosexual parents.
Teen Approval of Gay Adoption
Do you think that homosexual couples should or should not have
the legal right to adopt a child?
Asked of teens aged 13-17
Yes, should 51%
No, should not 46%
If you want to see the whole context, you can go on EBSCOhost and search: Teens Split on Gay Adoption Issue. I hope it can help you:)

Peer Rrspone to Annie
The vedio is very heartbreaking. I never really think about the circumstances that street dogs encounter after being caught before seeing the clip. However, what can we do to improve the situation? It must need a lot of money to take good care of them; but sadly, in modern society, there are countless people suffering from impoverishment. And the budget for walefare is tight. How to balance between human rights and animal rights. Life is priceless no matter human's or animal's, but we need to make decision. It is quite impotent to deal with the stuation. Maybe you can propose some smart idea to solve the problem.

I've seen the movie since I was a little girl. I know what you want to express throug the movie clip to explain dysfuntional family. However, I think you can use other real case to support your main idea. After all, the movie is not adapted from a true story. Of course it is a good annotation, but you can add others to make it more persuasive.
A lot of teenagers who go astry are from dysfunctional family. No one teaches them what is wrong or right. Many irresponsible pareents give birth to their kids, and then leave them alone to grow up. But This can also happen to whom you support to have the right to bring up their own children. Many of those who are mental deficiency cannot even take care of theirselves and need their old parents to take care of them. I think they may run into some problem raising their own kids. And the kids may somehow become a burden to their family. Love is indeed a crucial part to raise childrens; however. it cannot conquer everything.

Annotation 1-Teenagers who are eager to get Married
The Tyra Banks Show invited a teenage girl to talk about her attitude toward teen marriage, because the issue has been paid close attention recently. More and more teenagers, no matter in the USA or other modern countries, want to get married. Other people may have a stereotype that the reason why these kids choose to marry is simply because there is no other choice left for them, they have babies. That is indeed a main cause of resulting to the getting-high rate of teen marriage; however, there are still motives that bring about the phenomenon. In 15-year old Kaitlin’s case, she wants to get married since she” thinks” she finds the “right” one to spend the rest of her life with. The young engaged girl is not reluctant to make such an important decision, unlike those who are. She tries hard to get a baby and even take fertility drugs.
The clip of the talk show makes me shocked. I start to ponder whether teen marriage is good or not. If I was asked whether I were for teen marriage or not in junior-high age, I might say yes. After all, to a young girl, finding your prince charming is so lucky and romantic. Almost each girl has this kind of fantasy. However, with days passing by, I gradually doubt it. Though I am also a teenager, when I hear what the girl, who is only 4 years younger than I, says, I feel it is totally ridiculous. She does have sex with someone and have feminine sexual character. But does not necessarily mean she is mature in mind. We can find she is still very innocent, or maybe we can say childish when she talks. She is happy when she plays Spongebob vedio game with her fiancĂ©. She imitates what her idol, Britney Spears who is a bad girl in average people’s mind, does. And she is proud to do a better job than her just because she gets married at a younger age. She does not know how silly she is. She only sees the good sides of marriages, and is blinded by sexual happiness. Once she gets old and is no longer addicted to sex, she will be overwhelmed by reality. There are too many things needed to be taken into consideration when referring to marriage. Without basic economic supports and mature minds, how you can say that you are ready to become a wife and a mother.

Issue Paper 1st Draft
In ancient times, even in my grandmother’s generation, people, then, need a lot of labor to help farming and supporting the family. Thus it was a common phenomenon of teen marriage all over the world in that time. Nowadays, the world is changing into the M society. On the two sides of the curve point at not richness nor poorness but married youthfully or not married. When every high-developed country is worrying about the decreased rate of new-born babies and the increasing rate of aging of population, they seem to forget the other group, little couples.
These teen couples are not only in the third world but also in civilized societies. There are many factors that cause teen marriages. Many people may think that the young have no other choice left to choose because they already have had babies. However, it is not that easy to make a conclusion. Pregnancy do is a main reason leading to enter home lives but not the only one. One of my friends is engaged and will marry next year. At first, I think she must lose her mind so that she makes the stupid decision. As the matter of fact, I do not think she and her fiancé will not lead a happy marriage and they must end up in divorce. I am against teen marriage.
One time, I ran into an Indian guy in a chatting room named Omegle. After he knew I am 19 year old girl, the first question he asked me is: Are you married? When the three words popped up on the screen, what I thought was he must be a strange, but later I realized that in India, many girls are forced to get marry when they are 12 or 13. After marrying her husband, they cannot go to school anymore and they need to give up almost everything. I take pity on those poor girls and surf the internet to find some information, finding a surprising statistics. ” In India, where teenagers are sometimes forced to marry by arrangement, more than 90% of these marriages will not end in divorce.”
I start to think about if teen marriage is good. Although most of teen couples have a lot of problems like financial affair and education of themselves and their children that they need to deal with, many of them still live happily than those who own “regular” marriage or single lives. Maybe they just meet the right at younger age. Everyone has their own life to live. If they are satisfied and happy with their marriage, how we can judge and criticize them by our personal opinion. It is a dilemma to say which is right and the other is wrong.
